At CIU

On Thursday morning the team (7 people in total) got up early to leave Florence. We were going to Columbia, SC. This is about an hour and a half long drive. When we arrived at the chapel of CIU we saw that it was quite a large place. It seated about 700 people... Wow that would be a great audience!

Our program was not your average chapel presentation. Normally one speaker will address the audience. Now there were 7 people. We had a variety of items in our program. It was all about the Ships. So we showed some videos, to give an overview of the activities, we had a drama and had some audience participation.
Just after our program a student came on stage. He had served on the Logos II and knew some of the people in the team. He gave an extra push for serving on the ships!

After the chapel we had a little room booked for us in the dining room were students who were interested could come and eat with us. There were about 30 students who showed interest and asked many questions. We sold books and many people took our info brochures.

It was a very good meeting and in the future there will be more connections with CIU and the OM Ships office.
