Encounter

Yesterday I visited a local Youth event called "Encounter". It is an initiative of the youth leaders from several churches in our county. During the summer season they provide every Wednesday a meeting in one of the churches. The program is very basic; a band will play worship songs and one of the youth pastors will give a sermon. And the topics are geared towards the teens in the audience. I was visiting for the second time, I was manning a booth for the OM high school ministries.
Through the summer OM has a booth at this event. And lots of teens have the opportunity to grab some info about opportunities for teenagers in missions.
The topic last night was identity in Christ. We don't find our identity in the past or in our wounds. We find it in Jesus.
