Prayershack

Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) in Tacoma (Washington) was one of the universities we visited during our trip. We found out that only 30 students; out of the 3600 students, are visting the chapel services.

We did two programmes on campus. The first one was the start of a 48 hours prater chain. During this evening we told the students about prayer and how it can change the world. After the meeting it didn't take long for all the 48 hours to be filled. MAny students wanted to pray for their campus and for the world.

Every hour, even in the middle of the night, students were praying. They prayed in the Prayershack. A small room with a couple of couches. People could pray, listen to music, write their prayers, or make drawings.

Our last meeting was held in the Paryershack. We had 20 people packed in the room. During this meeting we prayed together. The students decided to keep on praying for the world on a weekly basis. To pray for those parts in the world that have not heard the Gospel for the first time.

It's very special to be part of a movement among students in the USA. Those students that see the need of the people in world and want to make a difference.
