Yesterday was Valentines Day. On Monday I went out and bought flowers for Cristina. It was busy in the flower department of the supermarket. Instead of 1 worker, they had three people working there. Most of the buyers were men, looking for the special bouquets. Of course the roses were very popular. Going against the trend, I bought tulips...
On Saturday we went to the Symphony and yesterday we visited the Fox Theater to see the Madame Butterfly ballet. It was a very interesting story.
Before the start of the show, many prizes were given out by the sponsors. And an announcement was made that at the end of the intermission one other special prize would be given out. They gave the prize based on the number of the seat. At the end of the intermission a seatnumber was announced and the girl was asked to come forward to get her prize. And then out of the side door came her boyfriend. He proposed in front of the audience in the Theater. And she said yes...!
It was a very special Valentines Day.
