Last night we went caroling. A couple from church had invited us to come along and sing in their neighborhood. Together with their daughters (8+12 yrs old) and one of their friends, we went into the cold (35F).
Some of the people they knew, but the majority of the people we sang to were new to them as well. It was great to sing the Christmas Carols with a small choir (7 voices)
We got offered cookies at some houses.
At one house when we sang the first verse of Silent Night, the man at the door told us that his wife was asleep...(Good choice of song)at another house our voices were accompanied by the howling of the neighbors dog...
A great tradition!
